The word that stands out to me with this one was “Acceptance”. Whether that be in myself or in the world we live in. Needing to say the words “It’s Okay” in order to have some self control over what surrounds you brought me comfort when I needed it most.
lyrics
Running in my sleep what is it I dream
Maybe it’s about admitting my defeat
Falling all around me seems to be the things
I never got to feel ‘cause someone’s watching me
I guess I’ve been distant
And I know it’s my decision
I don’t wanna come off dismissive
But I’m starting to see the difference in your eyes
Is where I realize
I wanna be on you’re side
But I feel like I’ve tried
It’s okay
If you feel the change
‘Cause I feel the same
Just don’t walk away
Oh, and I’ll be the same
No, I won’t go away
But my heart’s in this space
Where we can’t see the same
And maybe that’s
Maybe that’s okay
Maybe that’s okay
Maybe that’s okay
In this mind where do I go
When the home that I’ve known becomes unknown
So what does that mean for me
I guess we’ll have to wait and see
Wait and see
Wait and see
Wait and see
It’s okay (it’s okay)
If you feel the change (Oh if you feel the change)
‘Cause I feel the same (Oh I feel, no I feel, no I feel)
Just don’t walk away (Just don’t walk, just don’t walk, just don’t walk away)
It’s okay
If you feel the change (Oh if you feel the change)
‘Cause I feel the same (I feel the same, yeah)
Just don’t walk away
Just don’t walk away, yeah
